Trade you a novel for a kitty...

Robb told me if I got a novel published I could get my pair of Siamese kittens named Si and Am.  Crazy man thinks "they're too vocal" so he doesn't want to get Siamese.  AS IF OUR CURRENT FURKIDS AREN'T CHATTY ALREADY KK?  Anyway, I am vastly motivated to finish last year's Nano and make this year's FUCKING AWESOME.  *skips away singing "We are ( Read more... )

I keep trying to tell him. I think he just prefers Maine Coons, not that I blame him. I LOVE Maine Coons. But I want a traditional Siamese with the rounder head and I'd really prefer two because I'm a big dopey Disney fangirl and I have to name them Si and Am XD He also hates the idea of naming them that XD

LMAO!! Could you name them LONGER names, that he could call them, and you then call them the short versions which he'd probably end up calling them anyway? xD

So like Sibelle/Silvester/Silver & Amelda/Amie/Amalfey etc? :D

Mouse, who's official name on paper was Dinnazade, was always very loud & chatty. If someone phoned the house, she'd yell to the person on the other end of the phone from across the room. And they'd hear her. Over a phone line she sounded like a baby crying.

She would sit at the bottom of a ladder to talk to the tradies doing mum's extension. The (really cute) apprentice would talk back & they'd spend hours talking to each other while he worked.

But she was loud. Very loud. You could hear her normal meow from the opposite side of the 1/4 acre block. If she yowled or called, it would be heard two properties down.

She is missed terribly.

What I should have included was that she was a pedigree Chocolate Point Siamese, who used to be a show cat. She came to live with us when she was one, & was always lording it over the dog. Always.
Sketa, who is essentially Horse from Footrot Flats, she never tried to lord it over.
Best (worst?) thing they ever did was catch a mouse & share it.... by throwing it in the air to each other & catching it. Like a baseball, but using their mouths not paws. o.O
