"Can't make no vows...to a herd of cows..." I love this movie. In fact there's a good chance it's probably my third favorite musical of all time behind "The Sound of Music" and "Singing in the Rain". It's utterly ridiculous and hilarious. The film works because Howard Keel just takes his could-be ridiculous character, Adam and makes him believable

I will include your review in my Movie Night List.
As I said before, this would have been the Best Musical Ever Made! if only them Men had taken off their shirts when they got all Hot and Sweaty with all their dancing! And them Wimmen Sobbin' on their shirts---why not take a shirt off and hang it to dry?
Russ Tamblyn played the youngest brother who meowed like a cat outside his girl's house. He is the father of Amber Tamblyn.
The great Jacques D'Amboise danced for George Balanchine in the Heydays of The New York City Ballet. He played Ephraim.
Michael Kidd who choreographed many of MGM's great movie musicals of the 1950s did the dance work on this. And that man knew how to make Men Dance and my pulses race.
I am one Woman who is Overjoyed and not secretly by this movie!
