We were told to batten down the hatches and then we had some rain and wind. I did enjoy having my first weather day as a teacher in 4 years. I am praying for those in New Jersey and there abouts who weren't so lucky

We checked on the cottage and we had no damage, although the OBX got hammered.
I talked to my mother and she is fine, snow is nothing new to her!! She will be having surgery on her eye next week to remove cataracts, and is thinking about knee replacement too.
Iowa weather is sunny but COLD!! Thinking of you. TTYL
