Today the president came to our city,The city in which I teach. They sent the students home because of traffic difficulties. the authorities have decided that the students can't be in traffic but us teachers need to stay and sit in trafic

Anything so the students get a Holiday. Do they still have to pay you since they didn't give you time off? If so, I'm surprised they didn't give you time off too.

teachers are under contract so they would have had to pay us regaurdless of the President. that's why we were told to stay or take a personal day.

My point was that it was nothing to complain about.
