Parents should actually try parenting their children for a change.
I do believe that some children do have depression/bi-polar disorder but they should be at least 17 or 18 before they can really be diagnosed because before that there is a good chance that its hormones.
The bottom line is that children should be on as little medication as possible. Their growing bodies don't need that junk in their systems! But you totally can't tell anyone that because people put all of their faith into their doctors.

My mother is a second grade teacher with a particular interest in learning disabilities and emotional/psychological disabilities. She was in college when I was born. She always has been and still is sure that I have something wrong with me. In her quest to find what the problem with me is, I've been taken to a billion different specialists of various sorts ( ... )
