FIC: Paperback Writer

Dec 05, 2010 21:25

I have a migraine. My pills aren't working. But the kids don't go to bed for another ten minutes, and the hubby's in bed with the flu. First, I thought I'd do some homework. Yeah, that didn't happen. Then I thought I'd read, but yeah, that didn't happen, either. Can't brain, so I can't write. So here I am, posting this silly thing.

Sorry you have a migraine and that your pills don't work. Sadly, I know what that is like.Just broke a three day migraine myself this morning. I hope you feel better soon.

Damn. I've never had one go more than about 36 hours. I can't even imagine what I'd do with a three day one. This one's coming up on 24, but it's starting to fade, so I'm hoping it won't be around too much longer.

Thank you. :)

Aw, thanks, sweetie. Now I just need some darvoset, a 3 Musketeers, and a wet washcloth. :)

I'm sorry about your head. Is it better? Because I woke up with a migraine, and I'd at least like to think the scales balance by you getting rid of yours! :)

I wish. It's kind of gone, you know? Only there when I do something stupid like move my head. Or sneeze. Or blink. Or think too hard.

Overall, though, it's not as bad as it was. I think I'm going to be able to get my homework done today, at any rate. I hope yours doesn't last too long and doesn't get too bad.

Yeah, usually by day four or five it's survivable, but it feels like my brain's been squeezed like an orange and there ain't no juice left in it.

I broke down and took the meds I hate. I should have long ago reupped on the brand name instead of suffering through the generic. Stupid me, I thought I'd be fine with generic and ordered a shitload. I'm too stubborn to simply throw it out. Stuff makes me feel drunk and nauseous and I lose sensation in my arms. Usually, I'd rather the head pain.

Yeah, the effects of that particular medicine doesn't sound very fun. :\

I've never really had a prescription for painkillers specifically for them, though, mainly because I can't afford them. So I make do where I can with aspirin and ibuprofen, which don't work more often than they do. The worst one I've ever had, I'd taken six Percocet, and was still crying.

I've never had one last that long, and I can't even imagine what I'd do if it did. A day and a half is an extremely long one for me, and that's what this one's coming up on. How the hell do you make it through four or five days of this?
