Comments on Christmas Invasion and New Earth

Well what a way to start the new season of Who in America, Christmas in September. The family was laughing so hard at certain points we had to back the recording up to hear the next line. We had our own mini-StarCon going on. That is where you get together with a few hundred fellow Whovians, or Trekkies, and watch the designated episode together. ( Read more... )

Psst! I think you've misslabelled that your default icon, the one I'm using now. It was made by adoralyna, as I know very well, because she made it for me originally.

Oopps! I fixed it and thanks for the information. I want it to be labeled correctly as it is a fantastic icon and adoralyna deserves the props for it.

That's very interesting, to hear an American view. I feel TCI is such an English episode, I wondered whether it would really travel that well.

Watched Doomsday for the third time on TV last night and still lay awake half the night feeling torn up. Can't remember the last time anything on TV affected me so deeply.

It may be an English episode but this American was raised on many things British so may have colored my response, heheh. Maybe with the movie they are yammering about over here they will address the seperation. I dread seeing it on the TV.

So how serious is the movie chat stateside? It's being dismissed as a wild rumour over here.

The massive response stateside to DW's return to network TV is almost overwhelming for a show that was started before most of us were born. Here, Sci-Fi's numbers were so high that BBC-America picked CE's series up, starts in November.

The movie talks have been gaining strength since the end of series 27/1. It even made the rumor page of the "Hollywood Reporter". So if they do do it it would be great to have Paul McGann take on the Time War. Now that I would pay to see.

I was Squeeing as DW came on, cause it's so fun to sit on the couch and put my feet up and watch the eps, rather than sitting at my computer. I got into an argument with my friend James over that fact that David Tennant is so freakin hot, and lickable, and he was just like, "whatever, no he's not". Anywho, pointless argument brought on by the Baileys Irish Cream Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream. I can't wait till next week when I get to kick my feet up and watch more DW on the telly.

Doomsday makes me cry. I just can't bring myself to watch it anymore, even when I want to, but I've decided to watch it this weekend. So, I'm gonna have my box of tissues ready, and some more Haagen-Dazs ice cream by my side to help me through it. If I decide to pull out the mike's hard lemonade, though, I might even make a few icons. Lord knows I've been dieing to make that one about the sonic screwdriver's vibrate function.

And here I go babbling again. I swear, every post...

I had to curl uyp in front of my computer the first time I saw these, so I was really happy to see it on TV(btw, I agree with you about SG-1) I love TCI, I keep saying "don't you think she/he looks tired?" all the time. I'm an adult but the hand greowing still gets me, when it keeps growing I'm always like "geeze how big is his hand?!" but in a loving way.
Any foreshadowing to Doomsday and I start tearing up, I'm such a sap I'm still recovering from it.

Sorry for such a delay, have been experiencing computer problems. Has been a process getting back totally.

Thank you for your comments and get your virtual kleenex box as we only have two episodes left before IT airs, boo-hoo. Hope you and yours are having a safe holiday season.

Long Live SG-1!!
