Honestly, the one thing I miss living in New Mexico is the ocean.  I love the ocean, the smell, the sand, the waves - pretty much everything but the crap that washes up on the beach! Great pictures. That's a real carousel. Real carousels have more that just horses, I liked the bunny. I can't believe that they wouldn't let you ride the triceratops especially with no kids around. Love the Forrest Gump space. Sounds like you having a great time *hugs*

Anyway, I thought that we were going to kill each other on the way down there, but once we untangled ourselves from the mess that is the So Cal Freeway system, we had a good time.

Basically, we kept missing the onramp to the Santa Monica Freeway. My mom took a different route to avoid downtown and we ended-up in this big complicated deal with the 5 and the 110 and the 10. It sucked.

i love the beach, too - it's the main reason i keep to the coasts. looks like an awesome day. i want to ride that carousel. :D

My mom loves the ocean, too. She's always saying that if she had the money, she'd buy a house on the beach. We went to Santa Monica for a day when I was to L.A. many years ago. Very cool pics! I'm glad your trip is making up for its less than ideal start. :)
