Did anyone watch the Golden Globes (or, like me, at least check out who wore what)? If so, I have a confession to make: I once had a gown very similar to Amanda Peet's.( Pic Heavy, but Totally Work Safe Unless You're Offended by Ugly )

I don't get the gray hair on Kelly Osbourne, either. You know, she's an attractive girl, but why must she mess with herself? She looked better as a blonde, and even that wasn't a great look.

I don't think I'm a Zac Posen fan, either, especially when I see both of those dresses next to each other. There was just something off about Reese's look in general.

I actually liked her hair better dark - not that weird, unnatural black, but she had a dark auburn thing going for awhile that really seemed to work.

Sometimes I like Zac Posen. For example, his spring collection is kinda cool (http://www.zacposen.com/) but some of his ready to wear stuff is just not to my taste: http://www.style.com/fashionshows/complete/S2010RTW-ZPOSEN and http://bortysworld.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/zac-posen-sp-2010.png.

When I started my period at 11, my older sister (she was 19) gave me a Crown Royal bag to store my pads/tampons in. I had no idea what it was at the time. So classy!

LOL. I believe that, as a child, I had one that I pretended was an evening bag when I played dress-up.

Yikes at the return of the 80's! At least you have better sense now X-D

I've seen a full length wizard robe/cloak made out of Crown Royal bags, and I love that ball gown too!

And, yes, I have much better sense now. Hell, I don't even have a perm: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1766503845630&set=t.1207746577&type=3&theater.

Hmmm... Kelly Osbourne is looking too Imelda Marcos for my comfort. :S The boobs look unflattering (neckline too high?), the fabric looks thick and wrong somehow. I imagine that making that sort of train, it has to swish when you move. But it doesn't seem to be doing that. MY EYES. XDD

There's something wrong with Reese's boobs, too. But I think the cut and the colour of her gown in general is better than Kelly's.

In other news: I can't relate to Crown Royal bags. XD

Haha, no-one really takes her seriously here, either. XD

Like, there was a time she gave a speech to graduating students from my university and (like good UPians that we are), an activist group went on a rally right outside the Uni Theatre. She went outside crying and asked them, 'Why, did Marcos kill your family too?' She's really cracked, with delusions of grandeur sort of cracked, and most of my friends think she's a bit of a joke, but idk. I'm quite fond of how romantic she is, how she and her husband have killed millions of people and they think of themselves as heroes. It's un-PC and all, but I find the thought attractive. :S Don't tell anyone I said that.

LOL. What a fantastic story! I totally get that, actually. There is something almost tragically noble about actually believing in your own mythology like that.

You know I watched it! I like Tilda Swinton, but what was up with the hair???

It's so much easier on the guys. Clooney looked fab as always, but Pitt could use a haircut.

Natalie Portman looked gorgeous. She's one of my girl crushes. :D

I love Tilda, too. Her hair is always a little off, though.

As to Natalie Portman, I cannot agree more. She is, indeed, one of my girl-crushes, too. She's smart and she cares about stuff and she's just as gorgeous in person. I saw her once at a Starbucks in Cambridge. I was on my way to choir practice and she was with a study group. She had no make-up on and was wearing what basically amounted to sweats and she looked fantastic.
