Okay, Day Three was huge - at least as far as miles covered, pictures taken, and adventures accomplished. So, just in case you care, this is Part Two:

Gorgeous!

I would have been worried about bears too. I was in a campground with bear boxes and people all around and I was still a nervous wreck.
For no reason, only the pesky raccoons gave us trouble!

Thanks!

And raccoons are huge pains in the arse, if you ask me. And they're way too smart for their own good.

Thanks! Shiprock is actually so huge it's almost scary.

I think I just take a million pics and then choose from the best ones. That is one of the many awesome things about digital photography: there's no film to futz with and you can take as many shots as you like without wasting film.

Amazing. I hadn't even heard of Shiprock until today!

I'm nervous about the cold on my upcoming trip. It's been in the 80s for a couple weeks and it's getting down into the 30s in the mountains. *shivers*

Thanks!

And, believe it or not, you'll adjust. It just takes a few days, I guess.

OMG Shiprock is so cool! You're right though, it does look more like a castle (it kind of reminds me of Hogwarts).

Gorgeous pics, as always:) Makes me almost want to get on a plane and see it myself! (I say almost because it would take a lot to get me outdoors on a plane:/)

Who knows, maybe it is some secret Wizarding fortress! I suppose out in the middle of nowhere (on the res) might be the perfect place to hide if one were a Wizard.

And LOL to the outdoors/plane comment. I don't mind flying itself, but airports and planes are pains in the arse. Siriusly. If I could just go and not have to deal with lines/inspections/delays/other people it would be great.
