Fire scare
fuck! We just had a fire in the building. Everything turned out okay, but fuck! Yesterday I heard a firealarm going off, but who ever it was turned it off. So when I heard it today I didn't think anything of it. It was coming from upstairs and I could hear their tv and them walking around. So I figured everything was okay. So went to bed with my

I can't believe they were advising you to stay inside! I'd have been out of there like a shot - not a big fan of fire here either.

I always keep a wind up torch handy, they're not as bright as batteries, but you KNOW they'll work in emergencies.

Yes, it was pretty scary even though everything turned out fine. For some reason, in my head the worst always happens. But, I do feel good about being prepared. I'm still ticking things off the list.
