Maybe it's just me...

...but the comments on this letter to Target about having lost someone's baby registry are really starting to make me sad. Here are my least favorites:

"#2 Being 7 months pregnant-not a big deal. I'm sure its a big deal to
you but lets not forget ladies have been squeezing out babies for
years. Get over yourself."

hmmmm... no I didn't think the letter smacked of entitlement or of wanting free stuff. Pretty much like you said, someone who was still angry while they wrote the letter and was venting. Venting doesn't always look at the logical side (just a mistake, etc) just the emotional side (wasted time and effort).

The first responses were nice, but then they got pretty mean...

I was disappointed.

And the sad thing is...

It prevents people from wanting to post any negative feedback which if put honestly can really help people. (Like ebay feedback, I use that to decide if I will buy from someone. If the price is low but the feedback is bad, I will pay more from someone else with good feedback.)

And while I would probably post positive feedback there again, I probably wouldn't put anything negative there because having a negative experience with a company and then compounding it with a negative experience at pfb would just not be worth it.

Set those women straight!

I agree with you. I think that there are some people on that site who jump to conclusions way to quickly. A big thing that bothered me was the comment that said that registries are for greedy people and are tacky. First of all, I am sure that no one wants to bother with going out to return duplicates with a new born baby. Second, for people who don't know what to get you it gives them an idea.
I don't think that they are tacky at all. With weddings how are your guests going to know what china pattern you chose or what silverware. I think they make life easier.
I agree with your comments above about the rude comments. Yeah it was an accident, yeah the OP seemed a little emotional but there is no need to be mean!
BTW, this is Brenda/Brenny from PFB. I never used my LJ after I signed up for it awhile ago but I may start. You are inspiring me LOL. :)

Sign up, let me add you to my friends list - I love it when PlanetFeedback and LJ come together!! :o)

My space is grand and everything, but it's such a pain in the butt to work with when you are used to LJ, you know?? I've been here for like...five years now. Like many PFB users, I'm so painfully resistent to change!
