Seriously!!!

Although I have a big collective book of Poe sitting in my living room waiting for me to pick it up, and Anna Karenina is waiting to be finished. The first I must read because he's such a popular literary figure and I want to know why...the second because it's such a popular reference but I think so few people have actually read it that no one knows why we refer to it...we just do. Does that make sense?

Not going through that whole list, sorry. I've read about 10% of them, likely won't read the rest. I do have three to add, tho, all by Mikah Waltari: The Roman, The Egyptian and The Estrucian. Three massive works of historical fiction, so engrossing that you'll hate putting them down for any reason. Well worth reading.

I'd also add Hoffsteader's "Goedel, Escher, Bach" because it's a great exercise in mental gymnastics. Get it if you can. You'll enjoy it.

I don't blame you...as I said, I was in major "avoidance" mode when I went through it. I'd have liked the meme better if we just removed every book we thought was worthless or had no interest in, and added two of our own favorites at the end. But I guess that makes it tough to pass on, right?
