A couple of little videos of our time in Vegas

I put together a couple of little videos for you, each a bit over 3 minutes. I didn't take any video at the con proper, since I saw a million people with their phones out, filming every second of the thing, so I figured other people had that covered. (I actually only have an hour of recording time on my video camera, anyway.) So this is just septembers_coda

It's baffling and rather horrifying. You can't conceive of the amount of money it would require to build and maintain these structures or build a city with palm trees in the desert ... until you consider just how much they must rake in daily. Such a waste of money that could be going to bettering lives instead of destroying them, but that's just what the world is like, I guess. *sigh*

The cacti look like plants that belong on another planet...the purple ones looked particularly neat! And since I've never been and probably never will go to Vegas, I enjoyed your look at it. I have trouble wrapping my mind around it's existence, I admit.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels like this. Most people seem so crazy about Vegas, but I would never have gone back after my first visit if it weren't the only con in reasonable driving distance. I'm so glad you enjoyed looking at it with us! (It's better if you don't get out of the car--less porn shoved in your face by guys handing out fliers, or at least that's how it was the first time I went.)
