I'm equal parts excited and nervous about the trip. We used to travel all the time, which was easy then (except financially, but hey, that's what credits cards were for, right?) because I didn't like my life and I always wanted to escape it. Oh man, we so have to do a con together one year! Just one! I'll pay penance and do charity work forever and ever after, but just one would be nice :)

I love the way you and SC are basically saying the same thing, and it's the way I feel about trips too. Planning is exciting, but my anxiety increases as it gets closer and I think "why am I doing this," but then I have a great time. I'm so jealous of you guys!

It's funny--I used to looove traveling, and I did way less planning (sometimes really insanely low levels of planning) and everything seemed to go okay. I can't help but wonder if all my anxiety was trying to tell me something ...

As someone who does not enjoy her present routine, I am insanely jealous of you! (Which is totally counter-productive, I know. :P) Both in terms of your impending trip, and the routine you will be leaving. But I know that anxious sense, and that feeling of standing at the edge of your comfort zone. And you and SC are going to have such a grand time. <3333 I'm looking forward to full reports, you two! Oh, bb, I so feel you. Enjoying my present routine (enjoying having a routine at all) is so recent for me, and I had to fight so hard for it. And it's so weird that I was so anxious about the trip, considering how very fully inside my old comfort zone such a thing would have been ... maaaybe all that anxiety was trying to tell me something after all. :-]
