This was absolutely adorable, and extremely heart-warming. Exactly what I wanted to read on this lazy Sunday morning. I love it when John puts aside the hunt and spends some quality time with his boys. It was probably very rare, but I'm sure there were some wonderful moments. This was great. Thanks.

Ahh, so glad! Yes, I too think surely there must have been some wonderful moments, or Dean wouldn't have been so devoted to his dad, and Sam wouldn't have had such strong feelings about him.
It is sad how much we all wish for these wonderful little moments for both Sam and Dean, yet how little the show talks of any good times for them. Having raised two boys I can tell you this is very very realistic. And it made me smile. :-)
Ah, so gratifying to hear you say it was realistic--I worked really hard on that! So glad to hear I succeeded from one who knows. (You had your own little Sam and Dean!) Glad it made you smile!! :-)
I sure did in many ways! Robert and Michael are 3 1/2 years apart. My oldest Robert is the jock and very outspoken while Michael is more into computers and music. I think that is one of the reasons I love the show so much. They watch it too and are always joking around about killing the DEEMS!!! Now they even have my two grandkids involved! :-)
That is so cool!! The similarities are incredible!! (Somehow the names of each seem similar, in feel if not in fact--Michael and Sam have always seemed like such gentle, sweet names to me.) I love that they watch and see the similarities, too! Awesome. (as Dean would say ;-) )
