in amber

I decided to wear the amber butterfly ring instead of the dolphin, today. The dolphin ring has a different kind of power and signature, and I feel that wearing it all the time is like wrapping my entire being in pure emotional energy. Granted, I can choose the kind of emotion... but it is sheer power ( Read more... )

It's very strange... you really look like Helena Bonham Carter, but you really don't look like her, too. You look like you could be her sister.

As for the rings, I really like Amber. I find I'm the most calm and centered when I have a warm-colored stone on me. Somethings, like gold citrine, are supposed to energize you, but the warm tones kind of subdue me.

Wow, Helena Bonham Carter... thank you! She is ethereally beautiful.

Amber is my favorite stone, next to amethyst. I also like topaz and citrine. I find that they all balance me, more than energize or subdue. Which is nice.

Thank you! I think the more I hear it, the more I'll know it deep down. Sometimes I have trouble believing it.

Ooh, you have such yummy skin. You should post pictures of the paintings you've posed for so we can rave over them. :]

*laughs* Well, now I can tell the makers of the concealer I was wearing in that photo that their product works great!
Seriously, though, thank you. I do work hard to take care of my skin. It's why I'm so interested in researching the "natural oils as sunscreen" thing.

To be honest, the only full paintings I have ever posed for are "The Familiars" which I think you've seen (me in a black gown with two cats) and a painting Mom did when I was eleven, of me in a yellow sundress sitting at a desk looking up from a poem I was writing. The rest are sketches that Mom has done from the classes of hers that I have modeled for. I should get more "modeling" photos taken, though; I'll remember that. :)
