I remember trying to play with one of my younger cousins (who is about a decade younger than me) with her Barbie dolls when I was in my late teens and she was still just a kid. I was well and truly aghast at some of the things she had the dolls doing.

Well it didn't take much to make me aghast when we're talking about a 6 or 7 year old. It wasn't really all that bad, but you still could have knocked me down with a feather.

Thats wonderful to hear that your parents educated you on sex at such an early age. Mine did the same and I didn't have sex until I was nearly 19 and at the age of 17 I had asked my mother very bluntly to put me on b/c. Not because I had acne, which is the excuse most girls use (I got over that by then) but I told her I felt I might end up having sex soon and I wanted to be protected in as many ways as possible. My parents were always very open and blunt about things and encouraged self awareness sexually speaking. I understood all forms of sex and all methods of protection well before I got super curious. I consider myself to be one of the most self aware individuals out there. I've never had any sexual hangups. Of course, when my mother learned of my bisexuality and my leanings towards kink, she became deeply worried about me and started convincing herself that someone abused me or molested me as a child. =/ Regardless of the fact that I learned later on that she was into being restrained and liked seeing my father in

It was also very nice of Mom to allow the child psychiatrist buy me a copy of "Changing Bodies, Changing Lives." (I was clinically depressed for about two years).

actually, i went there with my She-Ra and He-Man dolls. i had both whole sets and a castle and very interesting things would happen between the mess of them.

i remember one of the She-Ra dolls had really long hair and she wound up getting tied up with it. a lot.

seems i haven't changed much over the years.

I remember chopping off my She-Ra's hair. She had an affair with Catra. I had no He-Man dolls either...
(and I wondered why it took me so long to realize I was bisexual...)

my barbies were the ones who got hair cuts. mohawks mostly.

actually, i still have a baby doll who's hait i dyed purple. she was an accesory to a white wolf character.

i spent more time playing "barbie gets horribly burned in a fire" or "barbie gets mauled by a hacksaw". i noted, appropriately, that ken's hand fit just perfectly over barbie's boob; then i went back to dismembering them. (i don't recall it, but my mum says i pulled all the arms off my star wars action figures when i was 4, so i guess the barbie thing was the next logical step)

Little kids seem to have the most interesting fascinations with torturing, dismembering, and destroying their toys, especially those that look human.
Except I remember getting upset when the cat chewed on a Barbie's hand, as if the cat had taken away my opportunity.
