So I said I'd reply in more depth here. I have fibromyalgia also, although I'm not on any medication that is considered a fibro med. I've been on several, they didn't work, and I now am diagnosed with bipolar, so the anti-depressants are not such a great idea.
I definitely get the vacillation between not being able to eat much, and not feeling sated ever. It's really weird, and I hadn't ever considered that it was tied to the fibro, but considering that various gastro issues are considered a comorbid condition with fibro, it doesn't seem out of bounds. It's incredibly frustrating, especially combined with my insulin resistance and hypoglycemia. I end up needing a lot of help managing food.
Personally, I hated Ensure. It was way, way too sweet. I don't know if you have tried it, but if you have similar issues there, I had better luck with the Atkins versions. (Part of this is that I have had to cut my HFCS intake because of insulin resistance, so a lot of things that use HFCS instead of cane sugar taste way oversweetened to me. You
