Ah, New York City. Nothing quite like it. Even though I don't actually live in the city itself, I love being in it and doing stuff there. Plus, it's delicious. OM NOM NOM.
The entire city is MADE OF FOOD. Whenever Adam called, that's what we would talk about. All the little diners and restaurants and delis he ate at, all the meals he had. Yes, yes, pretty buildings, skyline, whatever. The food and the water is what makes that city grand. I make sure he takes at least two empty steel water bottles when he goes up there, so I can drink New York tap water. I don't care if it comes out of a hotel bathroom sink. NYC WATER BABY. Ahem.
Heh, I never noticed the water because I rarely drink plain water. But the food... oh yes. Delicious. I could eat there forever. Or until I ran out of money, which could be pretty quickly in NYC.
Twice a year they have the Food Network Food and Wine Festival as well (they have it in a bunch of places throughout the year); and that's even more crazyawesome food. I've been to the past three, and they're always amazing. OM NOM NOM, again.
When I compare the water there to water in other states I've been, New York always wins. It's why the food is so good, especially anything with bread - pizza, bagels, doughnuts... anything that needs water to cook or bake is always amazing in New York. It's always the water. Food Network even did a challenge to test NYC's pizza against the pizza from Chicago and Los Angeles, to see if the water really did make the difference. New York won.
