All of those artificial sweeteners are so BAD for us.. I've weaned my self completely. I have found stevia in a box containing little green packets that you can pop in your purse or pocket.. not bad but not the best taste in the world. I have been using agave almost exclusively lately and love it. Except when I bake I usually use Sucanet.

I read that out of all the natural sweeteners, molasses, maple syrup, and honey contain the most antioxidants, and agave and natural sugar have the least. I found this very interesting! I do love real maple syrup.

It's probably not cost efficient for coffee shops to put out packets of stevia. That stuff isn't cheap. I used to carry packets of them in my purse years ago. Will probably start again once I'm done lactating (there's no evidence that it's harmful to babies but also no evidence that it's safe...). There are a lot of supplements that I've been forgoing for a long time, but I make notes of some that you mention for use in the future.

Mm, very good point. I kind of wish they'd have bottles of honey, at least, or larger shakers of cinnamon.
