What's Good? For March, I'm delighted to get to point out Cindy I.'s "Mortal Ties" (2000, PG). This pre-"Dark Knight" novella lays a baseline homicide case plot, and then overlaps motifs in a family tragedy for Natalie and a flashback struggle for Nick. Oh, wonderful! Thank you. I will email Cindy to pass on your comment on her story. I was so happy to find a current address for her, and get to ask after this tale.

You have also written a pre-DK story of this genre, I know. There's so much story telling room between the flashbacks of "Only the Lonely" and the present of "Dark Knight."

I find that Pre-Dark Knight stories are far too rare. I so enjoy reading about those first weeks of the developping relationship between Nick and Nat.
