I know I've been MIA for months (sorry! grad school!), but I'm climbing out of academic hibernation now. This popped up on social media recently, and I wanted to share this for all my awesome f-listers who appreciate imagining different endings for female characters whose canon stories did not do them justice. So, allow me to present

UGH, yes. Thank god for ALL THE FIC, which is basically about how Susan is the best and fuck you CS Lewis.

Apparently, he did say that he didn't mean to imply she went to hell or anything, that she just came along later or something. I mean, that's fine-ish. What really rankled was the way her siblings, apparently all so lovely and modeled after saints, were like, "Let's not talk about her." I hate Peter and Polly because they were the ones down on her. At least Lewis had my darling Edmund keep his trap shut in that scene so that he was not sullied by that hot mess.

Anyway, this post was aces and almost made me cry. I didn't know about that quote from Rowling, so that is great, too.

Ugh, yes, why the being down on poor Susan? She is awesome. And yes for Rowling having very clearly articulated different feelings which will hopefully result in less bad feelings for girls reading her books! Yay kick-ass ladies!
