Thank you so much for sharing the Stargate goodness from your experience at the con. I'm loving all the vicarious squee it gives me. ; )
RE: Sanctuary - I'm not entirely certain about the Brit accent either, except it may have something to do with the fact that her character, I think, originates in Britain. But then I've also noted that her accent doesn't actually stay true British all the time. And someone (who is a HUGE Sanctuary fan from what I gathered) mentioned at one of the Dragon*Con things I attended that there was a reason for this, but she did not expound further. *shrugs* I'm definitely going to check it out to give AT and the show a chance but I can't say that the previews alone have totally WOWed me.
And yes, The Shrine was a FABULOUS Atlantis episode. And they have been doing a FANTASTIC job with Robert Picardo's character in season 5. Definitely worth Netflixing the seasons you've missed at some point in the future.
I've stopped watching Prison Break, so I only know what's going on vaguely. But I understand that Dr. Sara has actually come back, after being decapitated in the last season. Which of course puts me into a Soapdish frame of mind: "How'm I supposed to write for someone who doesn't have a head? She's got no lips, no vocal chords!"
Yeah, they mentioned that. Apparently it wasn't actually her head, or something? I dunno, I remember someone telling me that a character had his hand chopped back off and sewn back on by a vet or something, so it doesn't seem too far outside of their norm. *g*
You have to watch it - the season premiere was last night and it was hilarious. Hopefully you can catch it somewhere. I think they have some back episodes on their website.
Johnny Galecki is awesome - he's even more awesome as Trouty on My Boys, which you must also try to catch sometime.
It must be on DVD, right? I can netflix it. But how will I deal with Sara Gilbert and Johnny Galecki not playing a couple!? (I saw she was only in a couple episodes, but still.)
From the Dr. Horrible panel: Fan with microphone refers to NPH as "Doogie" NPH: (looking totally bewildered) Doogie?? Nathan: (leaning over to NPH and in a stage whisper) Doogie Howser. You played him on TV. He was a teenager who was a doctor, worked in a hospital.... NPH: O-o-o-oh, right!!! Yes, the heroin years!
I loved the HIMYM episode that ended with the Doogie ending... I was laughing so hard I near fell of the couch, and Brian was looking at me like I was a lunatic.

Michael and Dr. Sara were the best thing on Season 1 of Prison Break. Totaly OTP. But the show has lost something since then and now I don't watch.
