Heh. That's exactly what I think when someone says that. It's entirely possible (read: certain) that I have a few self-esteem issues as well.

Perfectionista like ourselves tend to come up w/ this answer as a matter of rote. Self-esteem is not something at which we excel for ourselves, though we usually can impart words to improve that of others. :P

Prettymuch! At Michaels my managers have worked for 3.5 yrs to train me out of it flying out of my mouth w/o thought, but there were still days when it was out before they were done saying their line! Frustrating lemme tell ya! Especially when I *knew* I wasn't in trouble for anything, it was often just a conversation giving me a 'heads up' on something incoming. *sigh*

Wonder why this one is resonating so well among the users replying to it? Considering the vast majority of answers (and the comments to same) are tallying up the line of the same response. OY!
