Quiet days, not so quiet nights

May 29, 2013 22:25

Well now, it's been rather calm around here lately. Even with the whole egg ordeal everyone else went through. It almost seems like a normal school. It's actually a rather nice feeling. Now, if only certain roommates would be so agreeable.

Where's the fun in behaving agreeably? Talk to the fucking princess in the room if you're wanting someone to share in your opinions and act the part of pleasant company. That's what you usually do anyway. Besides, I think we're past the point of believing we're going to get along in the slightest, Lightbulb, so you might as well stop wasting your breath and pretending like you're expecting that to suddenly change at all when you're well aware that it won't.

Perhaps I was hoping for the first of many miracles that would portend to the end of days, since the campus hasn't had any real catastrophes recently, which means either A) the world is ending or B) Something is coming and it won't be at all pleasant for anyone. I was hoping for A. Which would mean you learning about this little thing called manners and being pleasant for a change

I have manners. You're just not worth wasting them on, as that would mean I would have to show you some semblance of respect, which isn't happening. ...So I guess that means it'll just be another average day for us. Ah, mundane repetitiveness~ Or what was the word you used for it? "Normal"? Yes, that. Doesn't it just warm the cockles of your heart~? Makes me want to start writing haikus about trees and flowers and butterflies just thinking about it~

I'm at least glad you two didn't kill each other while I was away. If only you could refrain from doing the same now that I've returned...

Ah. Taki. Light of my life. I am glad some sliver of sanity has returned to our little dorm room.

And here I thought you would have been your own light. I'm just glad to have returned to the room and not the scene of a crime.

I am, but with you, my day and this room are certainly brighter. And I am too, because that would mean I wasn't careful enough with hiding the evidence.

...I have a feeling that all of the mini disasters and things we usually end up with are going to all happen at once at some point in the future. An underground nuclear bunker stocked up with necessities sounds really good right about now.

I wonder if we can take out insurance.

...I do rather think that life insurance might be appropriate. Or at least property insurance. We're adults, right? Should be okay....we should get some decent rates as well....

Well, I suppose we can look at see what we can get.
