There will be some danger attached to this for everyone involved and the most probable outcome is that it fails like all other attempts. But it's one of the few things that hasn't been tried regards escaping the city yet.
[[ooc : Yeah, that's why it's not unhackable. The characters will try though. XD;]]

It's been theorized that the barrier is also what's affecting everyone's teleportation magic who's kept within it.
While that's also possible, people can actually see outside of the barrier to what appears to be a normal world on the other side. We've even had some people able to track their magic passing through it, even while they themselves couldn't. I suppose that could all be some sort of mirage to trick us, but to what purpose? You'd think showing an abyss outside would keep people more content to remain in the city.
[[ooc : That's fine, it's expected for some chars to be all 'wtf??!!!!' :3 ♥]]

Let me know when you set the date; it might be nice to have the carpet ready by then, don't you think?
As for some sort of distraction... hm, it's hard to think of anything that wouldn't be dangerous for those staying in the City. Someone could arrange an appointment with them for that date and time, although unless we found someone particularly belligerent and demanding I doubt they'd be much of a distraction for more than one deity at a time.

If all goes well, it should be around a week or so now.
And even someone belligerent and demanding who attacked them to try and force them to release the people here seems to have held the attention of only one of the deities' at the time. Although if several people asked at once.. but that might be suspicious in itself considering how rare deity deals seem to be.
There was also that person who blew up a wall of the deities' office, but --besides the fact that might not have held all their attention either-- that would basically be telling someone to go get themselves horribly cursed if the barrier doesn't break and release us all. And no way in hell would I trust Millenium enough to ask them to fire on the deities' office.

Those chains of wind I commissioned... I know they're not meant for taking on building sized monsters, but what about missiles that are quite a bit smaller?

Alright.
Hmm. Well, how does one tell if they're paying attention in the first place? Do we know that they ever are? Even so, do we know that they need to be paying attention in order to stop us or punish us for messing with the barriers? If I were a deity and I were putting wards on things, I'd make most of that automatic.

I tested the original spell on missiles so, yes, it should work! Do I want to know why you're asking?

I suppose there really is no way to tell, outside of when they deign to appear either in person or over the network. I'm sure that the barriers must have their own automatic protection-- the ones around the city seem milder than the one that zaps people around the doom clock-- but outside that, the person who brought this up is right. It would be best if the deities didn't decide to show up and swat at us themselves, considering what happened during the alien invasion.
Although I rather have trouble thinking how they could be that distracted not to notice, if this actually works.

Thank you, that helps a lot. Millenium has offered to fire upon the barriers as well. We'd like to have as many back-up plans as possible to make sure that if they are firing it's at the barriers and not the city.
Yes, there's nothing else left at this point and knowing the true nature of the barriers... at least as much as can be found out this way... should help a lot of other people as well.
I understand if you don't want to be part of this until after we know that it will work.
Help from anyone is greatly appreciated. I'd offer to let you go with me, but if I need to keep an eye on Millenium... Most of what we're planning is putting enough pressure up against the barrier as we can.

Well, it's based off the original map created for the city. Before we used to have none and just wandered around the place thinking about where we needed to go.
