It appears that Durandal has a soft side, enough of one to actually put someone ahead of his own ambitions. Will wonders never cease?

Also, if I hadn't already been thinking of Durandal as somewhat tsundere (heavy on the 'tsun') I'd definitely be thinking of it now. I imagine that he's probably quite glad that Mark had to be resurrected via pattern buffer and consequently forgot what happened immediately prior to his umpteenth demise; having to explain why you're passing up (or at least delaying) the opportunity to fufil 'phase two' of your ambitions ('phase one' being breaking free of the constraints imposed upon you) without giving the damn cyborg the idea that you actually care about him would probably be quite tricky even for someone of Durandal's capabilities.
