I find it kind of creepy actually... he's college-age and his father goes to classes with him? That seems really weird. Why can't he go to classes on his own?

Yeah, that part was kinda weird to me too. I'm not sure how accessible the entire U of L campus is, but the parts that I've seen involved some major streets that could be a problem for wheelchair + class timeframes.

Surely they must have other students in wheelchairs? I know accessibility really varies, but you'd think that a) they could work toward making things more accessible and b) other kids in wheelchairs don't have their parents going to class with them. I know my college had some accessibility problems, and their method for getting around them was you called campus security and they unlocked the entry that lets you avoid the stairs and the security desk (thus the need to call security). That had to suck for wheelchair users, to have to call campus security every time they wanted to enter that dorm, but it seems like it'd suck less than having your father with you wherever you go ( ... )
