Article says she wears "colorful headscarves", "tight t-shirts", and "jeans". They must be aiming at the less conservative market.

Well, I suppose they could've glued the clothes to her. Especially that headscarf, since can you imagine trying to put a scarf like that back on a Barbie? Or maybe they glued/sewed the headscarf in that round shape.

That doesn't address the degradation part, but people can think of anything...
