Rather than to each other?

I guess my personal problem with DRM is that, when it's forced by law, it's probably going to become pretty pervasive, if not universal (Any device or medium which does NOT support DRM can be considered, by default, a tool for breaking it - and therefore illegal to own under the DMCA?) - and once that happens, owning a recording of anything that was protected by DRM is proof of a crime - and actually criminal itself, under the DMCA, as well.

Imagine, on some not-so-distant day, when you can no longer show an unauthorized recording of last week's news without becoming a criminal.

I can imagine that this will make some people very happy.
