Jen hadn't heard what Commander Cruger had said earlier. Jen had been so wrapped up in a project for the last three weeks that it was a miracle she remembered to eat, sometimes.

Was it a bad sign when you figured out solutions to some of the snags in your design in your dreams? Maybe, but she didn't think so. She'd actually woken up from one of said dreams and headed straight down to her workstation at R&D to test them out -- successfully, as it turned out.

This called for celebratory junkfood, so rather than go back to her own quarters right away she took the scenic route and ended up at the Synthetron in the B-Squad common room.

"Bridge? What's wrong?"

Bridge shrugged. "Oh, you know. The usual. Gruumm's still out there and it's all my fault."

Possibly Xander was psychically attuned to the eating of baked goods anywhere near him, even when he was asleep. Or it could just have been the empty bed...

Either way, there were pajamas with ducks on them and just even try quirking an eyebrow, Tate. He'd seen you wearing a giant banana suit.

Not that Xander's mental preparations to say just that survived much past catching the tail end of Bridge's statement as he entered the common room. "You did what when with who, now?"
