A scowling Xander makes his way through the cold, damp Preserve, a flashlight in his hand. "Bridge? You still here?"

Bridge is, in fact, still here. At the sound of Xander's voice he stirs in the little clothes-nest he's made, giving a sleepy little squeak that's supposed to be ferret for "Over here!"

Xander doesn't speak Ferret, but he at least recognises that sound as Not Squirrel, and heads towards it. "Bridge?"

Yeah, that'd be Bridge scurrying over and attempting to climb Xander.

That'd be Bridge succeeding, since he's quite a bit smaller and climbier than usual. "Tell me you didn't piss off another tree-wizard."

No, but, possibly due to weekly exposure to radio squirrels, he gets the gist. "Okay, okay, no tree-wizards." Xander looks down at the nest Bridge had made for himself, and pulls a gym bag off the shoulder that Bridge isn't on, kneeling to start shoving things in.

"Looks like I'm gonna be making a lot of ice cream this week," Xander says with a sigh. Which would make sense if Bridge had listened to radio. Which not so much.

Yeah, that really didn't do much as far as clearing up any confusion. Which is why he gets another cold-ferret-nose to the cheek.

Xander shakes his head as he picks up the bag filled with Bridge's clothes and books. "Well, what were your plans for tonight?"
