Weekend Update - Holing up in the Blanket Fort

It was a bad week, what with two judicial homicides of black men by police, followed by the killing of five white police officers in Dallas by a black sniper. I couldn’t deal with man’s inhumanity to man, or having my Facebook feed blow up with race and gun politics again, so I retreated into the blanket fort for the weekend

Frank and I have been talking a lot. I was so upset that I emailed a fairly emotional letter to the Godfamily (because like us, they hate the phone) won't write about it but I'm so worried for them.

this past week has left me quite emotional too....I don't know how this will end or how to help it. I saw a black man in the market basket this past weekend. he was going left, and I was going right, he asked me to come ahead, but there were too many people behind him for me to do this. I said, you better come ahead, there is too many people behind you. He said, yes, ma'am, and came ahead. I wanted to hug him and say it's going to be ok, but I did not...
