It's such a wonderful, smart, hilarious ensemble comedy. It does require a lot of attention from the viewers, in that continuity is key. It's also so very smartly written. And funny. The kind of funny where I can't breathe for five minutes because I'm laughing so hard. This show will be missed.
The new job is working at Ford Credit. I'll be working in a call centre, which isn't my ideal job, but it's okay. And I'll be working in account maintenance, which means that I'll be reminding people to make payments on accounts that are only a little overdue. It's a bilingual position, so I'll be using French and English all day long.
And while it's not the job I may have wanted, I don't dread it. It's fairly well paying and has excellent benefits. Plus, there is always the opportunity to move up in the company. So, we shall see.
Unfortunately, despite being a critical darling, the show's ratings have never been great. And after a move this year, the ratings are half of what they were last year, when they were already not great. So, in that sense, I'm not surprised.
However, the show is easily one of the funniest things on the air. It's also one of the smartest shows. I'll be sad to see it go.
So, let's see. Fox has canceled Firefly, Wonderfalls and Arrested Development. Stupid network.
I sadly don't have a dvd burner. And while it's something I'd like, after being out of work for a while, there are a few more pressing concerns.
However, tvs are becoming increasingly irrelevant. And I know that I watch mine a whole lot less than I used to. Due in part to the lack of quality I find in most tv programming, but also because it's not the most entertaining means of "entertainment" available to me. Y'know?
Fox. My least favourite network. They're giving A(lways) B(e) C(anceling) a run for their money in the asshole category.
Btw, I finally watched Dr. Who last night. I'm not sure about it. There were things I liked, but I wasn't sold on it. I'm going to try and watch a few more eps to see if it's something that will grow on me.

As for tv, well, I like Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls. Which I watch on tv. I could download them, but I make tapes to share with other people.

I make DVDs to share with other people from shows I download (the computer can burn DVDs).

I missed it altogether in season 1 and tried to play catch up in season 2, but I still haven't seen everything.
It's just such a brilliant show. And I'm sad to see it go.
