For the csi folks

The following comments are made with tongue firmly in cheek. If this is a problem for you, I suggest you skip this. Also, for those who can't bear to have their beloved Grissom/Sara board discussed in a way that may be construed as even slightly critical, my comments are behind a cut. ( wherein I laugh )

Lately YTDAW scares the hell out of me. I'm not sure I want to be anywhere nearby when it sets itself on fire from within.

Alternately, I might want to sell tickets. Ah decisions, decisions.

I can't think of any recent G/S or Gr/S fics, but velocity wrote an itty-bitty Veronica/Logan/Weevil drabble if you're interested.

YTDAW is a trainwreck, imo. And it's not because of the whole kerfuffle from hell of some time ago. It's because any kind of dissent is eeeevvvvviiiillllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!1111eleventyone!111!!! And with that kind of attitude, I'm going to look for ways to dissent. Because I'm like that. With the sardonic wit humour thing and the issues with authority.

We could probably make a killing selling tickets to its implosion. It will be the thing. We could all travel far away for a very long time. I suggest Martinique or Bora Bora or the south of France.

I have not read said drabble. Where is it?

The drabble is at ladybuggery, second entry down.

Also, if we're traveling on YTDAW implosion money, I suggest Rome or possibly Bali. Because yes, it is a trainwreck. When I first joined it was because it seemed like a nice, intelligent, user-friendly board. Now I find it's only user-friendly if you're doing as the majority does. Otherwsie you're liable to be stoned to death.

I found it. I read it. I liked!

We'll have to make a poll to decide where we'll travel to with all the money we'll make on selling tickets to the implosion/explosion of doom at YTDAW.

Hee! It's a plan. A good plan.

I haven't been anywhere near the board in about two weeks, and I don't think I'm sorry about that at the moment, heh. Should I even ask what's going on?

It kind of went like this (I just read it, I stay out of this biz-nass, and YTDaW in general because my sense of humor doesn't jive) ...

Posters: INANE BITCHING ABOUT THE MODS!
Mods: Whiny, emo crap trying to get pity
Posters: RIDICULOUSLY UNFAIR NAME-CALLING OF THE SOOPER-MEANIE-PANTS MODS
Mods: Hyper-intellectual attack of posters, who are obviously too dumb to understand anyway
Posters: semi-coherent rumblings and a few valid points thrown in the mix.
Mods: Chest-thumping of board ownership! (Valid points? Mmmmgah? Best to ignore)
Posters: WE LOVE THE MODS OMG!!!&^%eleventy!! DON'T BE MEAN TO THEM, THEY ARE MY BEST FRIENDS!
Mods: See? See? Assholes.
Posters: KUMBAYA, MY LORD, KUMBAYA!
Mods: We are right again. This is totally awesome. But keep the pity on tap, you dig?

/the end.

Read above. velocity described the events perfectly.

Dear whomever, the implosion of YTDAW could be our Glastonbury. Without the rain and mud. But with more pointage and mockage. It'll be a thing.

LOL. Oh dear! *eyeroll* Yes my fellow country men (most likely women actually) were stirring up hell over spoilers once more. Did we not just watch this exact same argument explode a couple of weeks ago? It's like deja vu to the nth degree.

I love to sit back and watch the explosions sometimes, they're so darn fun! I dont have a particular problem with the board or the mods, but I do love to lurk and laugh at what goes on. It just gets so ridiculously out of proportion sometimes. Hee. :P

Well, there was the spoiler thing and then the whinage in the ranting thread.

I don't have a problem with the mods, though I don't really know any of them. But I do have issues with the closedmindedness of the board.

You're absolutely right in that it does get way out of proportion.

Ah yes, spotted the recent keruffle, did you? Madness, as fandom often is. Ah well.

As for missing fics... I don't know, did you see mine?

I've missed them. Where are they?

One of the problems of YTDAW is because it's closed to any but one prescribed point of view is that feeds upon itself. And then, it can't deal with any kind of honest criticism or dissent. Which means chaos and then implosion.

Fortunately, I'm easily amused. *g*

Sometimes, I think I wander in fandoms half for the wank alone. I'm so bad.

I will be sad if YTDAW imploded though. I've made good friends there.

Yay! I shall read tonight.

I'm not sure if I'll be sad if YTDAW imploded. Most of the friends I've met there are now here in lj land. But I would be sad if I didn't know you all. So YTDAW is not entirely without merit.

I can't help but laugh everytime I see that name *snorts* how in Gods name are we expected to take them seriously when they call it 'Grillows'!? Sounds like fucked up BBQ food or something.

I gotta admit a couple of those caps done by me. *beats insane GC-er upside the head* meh, whatever. The argument is still fun to watch from a safe distance.

I missed that. Ohmigod, are they for real? Don't get me wrong, as much as I dislike the Catherine/Grissom pairing - cause hello, total lack of chemistry - I have no opposition to others shipping it.

But seriously, Butterflied was not about Catherine. Not one little bit.

And stealing caps is just stupid. Blar. Stupid people irk me.
