I have a story for john_w_bigbang which is due for posting next week. First, I had the honour of creating the artwork to accompany purple_carpets's story, Let's Not Call It A Game. Her John is a bit of a bastard, but never so much you can't understand where he's coming from, even if he is screwing up. It's a great pre-series fic.

That picture of John is outstanding. I feel like he could just stretch or stand up any moment, that's how real he feels.

Beautiful! I love all the little details... like how he's holding the bottle and all cigarettes in the ashtray, the ring, the watch, and, of course, the expression on his face.

That's a really eyecatching, provocative and handsome interpretation of John. His expression really captures the tone of purple_carpets's wonderful, bittersweet story.

What a lovely piece of artwork. I like too that he appears a little younger than the John we know later. This is the dad of 10 and 6 year old boys. But the pain is still there.
