Brother signed us up for new internet plan. 'It'll be easy! It'll be great!'

Am typing this on cobbled-together network involving ancient modem because I cannot for the life of me get either the old connection or the new connection to go. Cannot work out how to configure wireless router. May possibly be internetless for some time.
