It's a patronus charm. It can be used to ward off certain dark spells and creatures, or as a signal.

I´ve never heard of one of those before...how does it ward bad things away? Does it work on ghosts? Because if it does I´d really like to learn to make one...

Hmm...I'm not sure if it would ward off evil spirits, though I wouldn't doubt it.

First off, you need a wand.
