I return!

I was making some icons today and I thought this one came out well and might be applicable to other icons, so I made a tutorial for it. I'll probably be posting a batch of Haruhi icons sometime in the future, actually.

I like the tutorial, I even tried it out, but I'm having problems with the linear gradient thing, as in, I'm not understanding what you're trying to explain or I can't get the program with work with what I want. lol

If you're using photoshop, you can click and drag the cursor from one end to the other of the area you want the gradient to fill. Probably on a new layer. Does that help? I'm not sure how to explain it.

Sorry to reply so late! Um, in Photoshop, it's sort of at the bottom of the layers panel, there's sort of a circle that's half white and half black? If you click on that, it'll give you a little menu and one of the options will be "Levels". That's what you need.
