Another stolen idea.

Ok, so I saw this group listed on the ole LJ homepage, and I became inspired. The group was called 50 Books or We Like Books or something like that. The gist was to set a goal to read 50 books this year. And I am going to set that goal for myself. I ended 2006 on a bit of a reading shame spiral, as I don't believe I've finished a book since ( Read more... )

goals.

I'm keeping a list too! Books here and movies here.

Good luck!

I don't know how I missed those posts the first time, but now I know and I'll be checking in.

And, honestly, if I can just read those books I have listed, I'll skip the other 43 and call this a success.

That's a fun idea. I think I'll take that on as well. Probably a lot of rereads in my count but that's how I roll.

Yeah, I'll have my share of rereads, too. A few because I'll want to revisit Harry Potter before the new movie comes out. *Nerd Alert!*

Haha, that's what I'm reading right now.

I'll only reread from the fourth book on (because it's my favorite), so I won't begin until right before the movie comes out. But, since they are a quick read, I'll be able to use them to pat my number of completed books.

Its about time you make that damn list.

- Try some Robert Olen Butler (he is a professor at GMU and I started to read him this week) - think you would like some of it; mostly short stories so you don't have to beat yourself up for not finishing
- You know I love me some Gregory MacGuire so put Wicked on your list
- Everything else, I still have my list, but it keeps growing!

I've already finished my first book. I think I've heard of Butler, but maybe not. I'll check him out.
