Maybe I get half a point -- I sensed that was where the problem was, but didn't recall any of the information you list. (My recognition is far better than my regurgitation.)

Yeah, had I seen this in the wild, the dimetrodon would have slightly irked me.

I thought that was the problem, but I cheated a little in having reread Robert Bakker's The Dinosaur Heresies a few months back, which also talked about Synapsids.
