I wasn't expecting it to end on an erm... vaguely, happy note. I was waiting with something large and heavy all ready to throw at the monitor when Draco, or Harry, died.

I don't know if a mental breakdown is any better, but it at least served to lighten the mood. This was a gorgeous fic! *hugs* Well executed! :)

Was it a happy note? I suppose it was, in that they were at least together. But I purposefully left a lot to the imagination and interpretation of the reader. Considering that this moment happened quite differently in canon, anything is possible . . . it could be that this is their last moment together on earth before the Death Eaters sweep them both away into darkness.

I'm glad you liked it! I thought that, since Draco is really in the process of a mental breakdown and then recovery and then starting to break down again, it was an appropriate way to close things off. My original conception of this moment was quite different, though I'm glad that I changed it. This was considerably better.

Oh I love how their relationship was not all fluffy and sweetness.With the kind of life both of them were having and the different personality, what you presented here seem more real and logic. Its perfect in its own imperfection. Though I personally think it would be better if the event happened in the last chapter was more elaborately wrote. Love it! TQ for sharing..

I had originally planned a much more in-depth final chapter. The ending, actually, was the second plot point I conceptualized when I began writing this (the first, for obvious reasons, was the beginning). Oddly enough, it didn't happen that way at all - this ending just felt "right" to me.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the story. :)

ok, all finished. thank you for unblocking the chapters for me, it was such a good fic. Bah but the ending! I dont like when fics leave me wondering what happens next XD

Not a problem! I think I'll just leave them the way they are, since LJ is being such a butt about the whole being-over-18 issue. They're not set to NO adult content, they're just not set at "you absolutely have to be 18 to read this smut."

I'm sorry that the ending left you wanting, but that was really the whole point of the ending. Does that make sense? I hope it does.
