Oh I loved the Dobby/Draco interaction! And that Draco set Dobby to watch Harry Potter for him - genius! Now Dobby is a double-agent ;-) And spying on Harry with any special friends. Voyeur!Dobby. Hmm, quite perverted, if I start thinking about it ;-)

Unfortunately, poor Dobby isn't a very good spy. He doesn't really know what he's supposed to be watching for, the poor fellow. And also on a more depressing note, Dobby won't be back for a chapter or two, when he starts reporting back to Draco.

Dobby as father figure. Interesting. Anyway, their relationship is lovely. Not exactly canon, but never mind about that.

I do my best to keep things canon wherever possible. In this instance, however, Dobby is just too sweet to pass up.

Yes, he's very important. I think people almost forget sometimes that he was a servant of the Malfoys for almost all of his life, until Harry got involved. I tend to use Dobby as a scapegoat in my fics. "How are we going to find out Harry is gay if we're entirely in Draco's POV?!"

Dobby is quite possibly one of my favorite characters of all time. I try to work him in wherever I can.
