oooh! How expected of Draco to react that way! Can't wait to see what Harry'll say!

Yes, unfortunately Draco retains the worst of his Slytherin ways in this chapter. But hopefully he'll straighten up soon!

I'm starting to like this very much. You show stereotypes (which is uctually just canon charctarization in Draco...)and vulnarability in a combination, that fits. I'd like to see if and how Harry fits into this new "family" and what he'll make of the situation.
Cheers for a good chapter!

I'm glad that you're enjoying it. I don't consider Draco's characterization canon, per se, because I like to think that he has more depth here than he does in the series, although I appreciate that you think it's appropriate. I struggled a bit to decide exactly how I wanted him to respond to the news.

"not canon per se", that's what I meant with the stereotype/vulnarability thing. You used the canon as base, but expanded it and made him an actual character.
His response felt... a bit ambigous, like there were two people in one body or that his typical/first reaction was that which he thinks he should be like, but thinking about it and actually experiencing it, made him realize what his feelings would be in the long run. Things like that are a test of character. So, on further thinking about it, you brought his change about quite well. ^^
Heh. I'm philosophing about /analysing this as I go along...kind of like in my literature papers. Go You! You really made me think about this... and at the unholy hour of three in the morning.

How will Harry factor into this? Will Hermione and Draco marry? Will Harry and Draco raise the child? The three of them? What will they decide?

Whoa, there! All in good time! Don't want me to go giving the story away, do you?
