That's good to know - but I don't think they have the plastic coating on the fabric. This makes them twice as durable and water resistant. Mine is about 5 years old and it hasn't frayed or ripped, and you can't use the non waterproofed ones at Pennsic. If they are sitting on the ground just the dew from overnight will wick up the bag and into your clothes, not to mention if it rains. This happened to me with a heavy canvas bag. I had clothes in it and it got damp and the colors bled and ruined a few things.
