Flustered in Finnish
So I think I just told a couple of Finnish singers that I wanted to have sex with them. Apparantly its really easy to do in Finnish... I remember one guy when I first started learning Finnish warning us to be really careful when we talked about "seeing" things. I have been researching and comparing and hemming and hawing, but I haven't solidly finished any of my applications for summer internships yet and I want to do so before school starts tuesday. The world
The two goals I see for any human life (at least for my own human life) are to increase our connectedness to others and to explore the beauty inherent in the universe. These goals are social and spiritual, respectively. Of course, either goal can take very different form in different individuals, but I think these must be the primary goals for me ( Read more... ) -

Went to a speach by Tarja Halonen today at Columbia (after missing my first class... Oops!), which was very exciting. She's the president of Finland, by the way. An awesome lady.
