I drove the truck to town today to get some gas in it.

And it wouldn't start up again.

[says a number of naughty words]

So, the truck is sitting at my friend's house on the battery charger.

It looks like the fuel filter was plugged.

Evidently it's the day for car trouble. Remember my bragging about never having any trouble with my Honda? Well, I got up early to go out and visit my horse so I could get done and leave before the beach traffic became 4th of July hell. Drove out, stopped to close the gate behind me, and...car wouldn't start. Fortunately a jump got it going, but all the way home it was making little electrical popping noises, and every so often all the gauges would drop and then come back up =8-O.

My husband's out buying me a new battery, and fortuitously the car is booked in for a service tomorrow.

Sorry for hogging up your journal with my whinge... *slinks away, head down*
