Plan Part Second From the Last

At least probably. We'll see if I don't go long. Fit in  a little more writing amidst all the family festivities, and I'm now officially halfway through the novel, as opposed to the "almost halfway" place I've been in for a while. My two protagonists finally just met, face to doesn't-have-a-face. I'm looking forward to seeing how things go ( Read more... )

You want two cents? I've always got two cents. Just as long as you take mine with a big daddy grain of salt.
Short and sweet point one: time is in short supply, so stick to efforts directly related to your goals. F'rinstance, I've been part of a few discussions going on about book trailers on YouTube. Cool. I can foresee burning hours on that I could better spend on writing, blogging, shoring up my bio, etc.
Point two: I believe you can find someone out there who's made a significant success out of any platform/approach you can possibly think of. I further believe, therefore, that you can achieve success with or without any platform you can think of. Check out what you can, and take on what you can master, enjoy and do right in the time you have.
That's a highly generalized approach that makes sense to me.

Ben- staying focused without missing out on opportunities is definitely the trick. I agree that taking advantage of things that I actually enjoy doing, rather than working against the grain, is a good guiding principle, and I'm going to try to stick with that. Especially when it comes to general internet business, where there is no end of things you can waste time on.
