What we have here is the top 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing’s users. As in, they sit on the shelf to make you look smart or well-rounded. Bold the ones you've read, italicise the ones you own but haven't read, underline the ones you started but didn't finish.

Funny, I just did a quick LJ update. Still more needs to be done. I've had a "Have a book, give a book, need a book take a book" activity at a couple of potlucks, including this weekend's Festivus potluck. My roommate (away in Toronto) donated a bunch of books, as did I, Russ and neighbours at the dinner. When people find ones they like, they get to keep them. I hope now that we've done it a couple of times, people may associate coming over with trading a pb or two with each other. This past weekend, many people left with a least one book, if not more.
